Common questions
What does the free Weekender plan include?
Unlimited routes — create, import, modify, save and share them, with stop alerts, the elevation profile and climb stats. Exports (GPX, TCX and FIT) unlock once you verify your email. The stop finder covers cafés, pubs, hotels, hostels and campsites within 2 km of your route. No card, no time limit. Water, shops, fuel and the rest of the stop finder, plus projects and the AI assistant, are in the Rider and Ultra plans.
Where does RouteGems work?
Routing and stop discovery currently cover the whole of Europe — any route with both ends on the European map, planned from anywhere in the world. Accounts are worldwide (Weekender is free everywhere); paid plans are UK-only at launch while our EU tax registration completes. More regions are on the roadmap.
How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Add a card, use everything, and cancel any time before the trial ends — you won't be charged a penny. If you love it, you do nothing and the subscription starts automatically. We email you a reminder before the trial converts.
What's the difference between Rider and Ultra?
Rider is the full planner: create or import routes, every stop type, the advanced stop finder, projects, sharing and exports. Ultra adds the AI assistant — describe what you need in plain English ("a water stop every 40k and somewhere to sleep around 200k") and it plans the stops for you.
Can I switch between Rider and Ultra?
Yes — both plans are available now. Upgrade or downgrade any time from your account; changes are prorated by Stripe, and your routes and projects carry over untouched.
What happens to my routes if I cancel?
Your routes stay, and you can still see and export your data. The only thing that stops is the planning tools. Resubscribe any time and everything is exactly where you left it.
